Alberta

Tikigiaksaugusik Festival

Tikigiaksaugusik is the Inukitut word for ‘gathering place’. This annual festival runs from March 14th to 19th in Rigolet and brings people together for an early spring event. The festival is known for events like the Francis Campbell Memorial shoot out and other shooting matches on the cove, the Levi Pottle Dog Team Race on Double Mer and family games at the cove. A community feast and closing ceremonies are the culmination of a fun week of games and friendly competition.

The 2024 Juno Awards

The JUNOS, awarded to recognize outstanding achievements in Canada’s music industry, are coming to Halifax on March 24th. The 53rd celebration will feature show-stopping performances from some of Canada’s hottest acts including Toronto rock sensations, The Beaches, Montreal-born singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin and the host of the JUNOS herself, Nelly Furtado. It’s Canada’s biggest night in music and it’s happening this month!
